Early life[edit]
Carol Gracias, Indian supermodel was born in Mumbai, India to a Goan Catholic family. She was born on 28 December 1978. Carol was brought up in Mumbai.[1]
Career[edit]
Along with the modeling career Carol has been doing some songs and albums for films.
Movies[edit]
Carol had a cameo in the movie Being Cyrus. She also appeared in the music video for the song "Right Here Right Now" from the movie Bluffmaster, starring Abhishek Bachchan.
Carol was a housemate on Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Celebrity Big Brother, produced by Endemol India for Sony Entertainment Television. She finished runner-up. She was also the contestant of level 2 of khatron ke khiladi, the Indian version of Fear Factor.[2]
Wardrobe malfunction[edit]
During the 2006 Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai, Carol Gracias experienced a "wardrobe malfunction", when her halter top slipped off, completely exposing her breasts.[3] Carol recovered quickly enough and completed the walk, holding her top in place. This minor incident caused a huge furore, with some members of the public accusing the organisers of the show of promoting obscenity. The matter was raised in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, where members condemned the organisers of the show.[4]
Later, a local court ordered the police to investigate the incident, after a social activist, Prakash Rajdev, registered an FIR against the organisers of Lakme India Fashion Week and the models involved, alleging that the incidents were intentional and the models indulged in "nudity and obscenity" which constituted offences under the Indian Penal Code.[5]

Early life[edit]
Charmila was born to veterinary doctor Manoharan, who was also working in S.B.I., and Haise, a homemaker, in a Malayali Syrian Catholic family settled in Chennai. She studied in Holy Angels Convent and Ethiraj College for Women.[4] She has a younger sister Angelina.
Film career[edit]
Charmila made her debut on the silver screen with Oyilattam and went on to act in a couple of movies including Kizhakke Varum Pattu.[5] She made her debut in the Malayalam film Dhanam, directed by Sibi Malayil.[6]
She hosted a show Jillunu Oru Sandhippu on Vijay TV,[7] and participated in Jodi Number One on the same TV Channel.[4]
